Bremerhaven to SA with MSC

The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), headquartered in Geneva, has announced changes to its Europe to South Africa shipping service from March 2024. The revised NWC to South Africa service will now include a direct call at Bremerhaven.

The enhanced rotation will be London Gateway, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Le Havre, Sines, Las Palmas, Coega, Durban, Cape Town, and back to London Gateway. The 'MSC Branka' will inaugurate this route on 19 March 2024.

The shipping line will also introduce the Ingonyama feeder route to connect East London and Coega directly, offering a maritime alternative to road transport. This service, beginning with the 'Tokata F' on 25 March 2024, aims to facilitate weekly connections between these South African ports. (pb)
