Brazil's contribution to the industry
Azul Linhas Aéreas is honouring the French-Brazilian aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont, who was born 150 years ago, with a special livery on one of its E2s.
The Embraer aircraft was the protagonist of a celebration organised by Azul on 3 September 2023 in collaboration with the Brazilian Air Force.
For Fábio Campos, Azul's director of institutional relations and one of the pilots of flight 150 from Viracopos to the air force base in Brasilia, history and the future are in the company's DNA: "We are the only airline with a diversified fleet capable of connecting the largest number of Brazilian cities to the world. With the special livery, we want to underline Brazil's importance in aviation." (ah)
