Aquila expanding into Hungary
Aquila, a freight and cargo service in Ploieșt (Romania), has reported that it has strengthened its regional presence by acquiring Kitax, a Hungarian distribution company for hygiene, consumables and workplace safety equipment. This marks Aquila’s entry into its second foreign market, after Moldova.
CEO Cătălin Vasile highlighted the acquisition as part of Aquila’s growth strategy, following four recent company purchases. Kitax founders Ida and Ștefan Ozsvald will remain involved “to support a smooth transition and the consolidation of the business,” as Vasile said. Kitax operates nationwide with logistics infrastructure, a 3,000 sqm warehouse and over 400 global suppliers. (js)
