An eye on customs processes
Entering into a new strategic partnership. A provider of software solutions for the supply chain and a pioneer in process automation are aiming to simplify cross-border operations between France and Switzerland and to enhance efficiency in customs management.
A new partnership between Akanea and Informatique 2000 is set to integrate both enterprises’ systems. Export customs declarations will automatically be converted into import declarations, for example. The solution will save users time and simultaneously reduces errors and improve transaction traceability.
“Efficient and straightforward”
Akanea managing director Jean-Baptiste Cassagnes emphasised the fact that “this collaboration with Informatique 2000 will help businesses make their processes more efficient and straightforward.”
Olivier Bail, in turn, the CEO of Informatique 2000, added that “by pooling our expertise, we’re creating innovative solutions tailored to the specific requirements of our customers.”
Advantages on both sides of the border
The automated interface offers companies significant benefits, including fewer input errors, improved traceability and enhanced operational efficiency.
Moreover, it strengthens enterprises’ ability to compete and facilitates trade between France and Switzerland. The partnership also includes the use of technologies, including AI and machine learning, to further optimise customs processes.
These technologies will help companies to adapt to the growing demands of international trade and to improve their efficiency in the long term.
Forward-looking technologies
Akanea, a French IT services provider, and Informatique 2000, a Swiss corporation from the same segment, also have plans to roll their solutions out in German-speaking Switzerland in the future, to meet the needs of this key market.
Initial projects are already underway, and the collaboration has already yielded promising results. According to the partners the cooperation agreement marks an important step towards modernising customs processes, and underscores both firms’ commitment to innovation and efficiency in cross-border logistics.
