A350 news from Toulouse and Tianjin

Airbus recently took another step in the ongoing expansion of its global footprint and of its long-term strategic partnership with China when it delivered the first A350 from its widebody completion and delivery centre in Tianjin (China).

The A350-900 was delivered to China Eastern Airlines, the largest Airbus operator in Asia and second-largest in the world. China Eastern Airlines has an Airbus fleet of 413 aircraft, including 349 A320 family aircraft, 55 from the A330 family and nine A350s.

In other news, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury confirmed last month that the board has responded to customer feedback for greater options and efficiency and has approved steps to enhance the product line with an A350 freighter derivative. (ah)
