A Midwestern site for Levi Strauss

Logistics provider Maersk has opened an Ohio hub for Levi Strauss & Co, giving the famous clothes brand an additional 111,484 sqm of fulfilment capacity in the Midwestern USA.

Situated in Groveport, the facility supports container handling and omnichannel fulfilment for LS & Co.’s operations, helping it to transform into a direct-to-customer-first business.

Maersk’s own WMS and new sorting systems are set to propel the brand to a capacity of processing 100 million outbound units per year. Activities at the site already commenced in August, with Maersk currently adding new technologies. This project builds on the two companies’ 25-year partnership. (mk)
