50% less CO2 than maximum permitted by EU
The Spanish long-haul transport specialist Logista has acquired multi-temperature trailers fitted with Advancer Spectrum A-500 Spc refrigeration equipment made by Thermo King. The CO2 emissions of these green tech direct injection engines are 50% lower than the maximum permitted by EU legislation.
The equipment uses geolocation to automatically allow the engine to operate at low revolutions, thus achieving low noise emissions. With very precise temperature control, this model produces a differential of only 0.2 degrees above the set point, the company said. Logista Freight manages a fleet of more than 1,400 vehicles and provides services in all EU countries. (ben)
