17,000 truck journeys less

Kombiverkehr and ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) are now running a new rail service linking Hungary's capital Budapest with Neuss in Germany with six round trips per week, spread over six working days.

Operated jointly by Kombiverkehr and Rail Cargo, three of the services also offer connections to the Wels and Wien Süd terminals in Austria, in both directions. The other three services are operated directly and without intermediate stops by RCG and run from Budapest to Neuss and back.

All in all, the new climate friendly rail service can transport around 180 loading units per week and direction and thus avoid around 17,000 truck journeys per year. (ben)
