Diese Lieferung stellt einen bedeutenden Schritt in der Flottenmodernisierung des Unternehmens dar. Die <em>Arctic Tern<\/em> ist mit einer Dual-Fuel-Technologie ausgestattet und bereit f\u00fcr den Einsatz von Methanol, was die betriebliche Effizienz erh\u00f6ht und den wachsenden Anforderungen der Kunden an nachhaltige Logistikl\u00f6sungen Rechnung tr\u00e4gt.<\/p>\n<h3>Erste Eins\u00e4tze und strategische Bedeutung<\/h3>\n<p>Die <em>Arctic Tern<\/em> wird \u00fcber EUKOR Car Carriers, eine gemeinsame Reederei von Hyundai Motor Group und Wallenius Wilhelmsen, eingesetzt. Xavier Leroi, COO Shipping Services bei Wallenius Wilhelmsen und CEO von EUKOR Car Carriers, betont: \u201eAls erstes Schiff unserer neuen Shaper Class-Serie spiegelt es unser Engagement wider, in die Zukunft der Schifffahrt zu investieren.\u201c Mit einer erh\u00f6hten Transportkapazit\u00e4t und verbesserter Kraftstoffeffizienz soll das Schiff den sich wandelnden Bed\u00fcrfnissen der Kunden gerecht werden und gleichzeitig den \u00dcbergang zu emissions\u00e4rmeren Betriebsabl\u00e4ufen unterst\u00fctzen. Die <em>Arctic Tern<\/em> wird voraussichtlich unmittelbar nach der Lieferung zwischen Asien und Europa eingesetzt und soll bereits kurz nach der \u00dcbergabe ihr erstes Methanol-Bunkering durchf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<p>Die Lieferung markiert zudem den Beginn einer neuen Namensgebungstradition f\u00fcr die Shaper Class-Serie von Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Die Namen der Schiffe sind von V\u00f6geln inspiriert, die f\u00fcr ihre bemerkenswerten Reisen bekannt sind.
