Juli 2026 eine gerichtliche Entscheidung des luxemburgischen Gerichts best\u00e4tigt, die eine Verst\u00e4ndigung im Strafverfahren zwischen dem Unternehmen und der Staatsanwaltschaft Luxemburg ratifiziert. Der Fall betrifft Vorw\u00fcrfe des Einflusskaufs im Zusammenhang mit Aktivit\u00e4ten im Gabun zwischen 2010 und 2015. Es handelt sich dabei ausschliesslich um die juristische Person Cargolux, nicht um Einzelpersonen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Untersuchung wurde eingeleitet, nachdem Cargolux Ende 2015 freiwillig Informationen an die Staatsanwaltschaft des Grossherzogtums Luxemburg \u00fcbermittelt hatte. Das Unternehmen hat w\u00e4hrend des gesamten Verfahrens mit den Beh\u00f6rden kooperiert. Laut dem Urteil muss Cargolux eine Gesamtstrafe von etwa 1,15 Mio. EUR zahlen, die aus einer Geldbusse und einer Einziehung besteht.<\/p>\n<h3>Massnahmen zur St\u00e4rkung der Compliance<\/h3>\n<p>Cargolux hat seit der Selbstanzeige kontinuierlich Massnahmen ergriffen, um die internen Kontrollmechanismen sowie die Compliance-Systeme und Governance-Praktiken zu verbessern. Diese Entwicklungen wurden im Rahmen des Plea Agreements anerkannt und zeigen die Bedeutung von freiwilligen Meldungen und der Zusammenarbeit mit den Justizbeh\u00f6rden.<\/p>\n<p>Das Unternehmen betont, dass die gerichtliche Entscheidung keine Auswirkungen auf die aktuellen Betriebsabl\u00e4ufe, die Kundenaktivit\u00e4ten oder die angebotenen Dienstleistungen hat. Cargolux bleibt bestrebt, ethisch und transparent zu handeln und Integrit\u00e4t in allen Gesch\u00e4ftsbereichen zu wahren.<\/p>\n<p>Cargolux, mit Sitz in Luxemburg, ist eine der f\u00fchrenden Frachtfluggesellschaften in Europa und betreibt eine Flotte von 30 Boeing 747-8 und Boeing 747-400 Frachtflugzeugen. Das Unternehmen hat zudem zehn Boeing 777-8F bestellt, um die \u00e4lteren 747-400 Flugzeuge zu ersetzen.
