Diese Anschaffung ist Teil eines Programms zur Verbesserung der Schiffsabfertigung und der Effizienz am Terminal, wie die Mutterorgansiation ICTSI mitteilt. Mit den neuen Kr\u00e4nen, die f\u00fcr den Umgang mit gr\u00f6sseren Schiffen von bis zu 400 Metern L\u00e4nge und einer Kapazit\u00e4t von bis zu 20.000 zwanzig-Fuss-\u00c4quivalent-Einheiten (TEUs) ausgelegt sind, soll die Auslastung der Liegepl\u00e4tze optimiert und die Umlaufzeiten verk\u00fcrzt werden.<\/p>\n<h3>Erweiterung der Kapazit\u00e4ten<\/h3>\n<p>Durch die j\u00fcngste Investition erh\u00f6ht sich die Anzahl der Kaikrane am RBT auf insgesamt sechs. Diese Massnahme erfolgt gem\u00e4ss ICTSI vor dem Hintergrund eines Anstiegs des Containervolumens im Hafen von Rio, der seit 2023 zu verzeichnen ist. Dieser Anstieg spiegle das Wachstum im brasilianischen Au\u00dfenhandel wider und zeige die Notwendigkeit, die Infrastruktur des Terminals entsprechend anzupassen. Die Erweiterung des RBT zielt darauf ab, das steigende Handelsvolumen zu bew\u00e4ltigen und den Anforderungen gr\u00f6sserer Schiffe gerecht zu werden, die zunehmend die Ostk\u00fcste S\u00fcdamerikas anlaufen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Modernisierungsprogramm umfasst neben der Anschaffung neuer Kr\u00e4ne auch die Erweiterung und Umstrukturierung von Lagerh\u00f6fen sowie die Optimierung der internen Betriebsabl\u00e4ufe. Diese Massnahmen sollen dazu beitragen, den Hafen von Rio in eine st\u00e4rkere Position zu versetzen, um den brasilianischen Aussenhandel und die Logistikkette des Landes zu unterst\u00fctzen.
