Laut FH-Professorin Lisa-Maria Putz-Egger und dem Steyrer Team Sustainable Transport soll die Initiative Unternehmen, Logistikdienstleister, Beh\u00f6rden und Infrastrukturbetreiber zusammenbringen, um Informationen grenz\u00fcberschreitend auszutauschen und Abl\u00e4ufe in Echtzeit zu koordinieren. Dies soll nicht nur die Effizienz erh\u00f6hen, sondern auch die Umweltbelastung durch den Transport von G\u00fctern reduzieren.<\/p>\n<p>Jetzt hat das Forschungsprojekt hat im Rahmen des EU-F\u00f6rderprogramms HORIZON Europe eine hohe Bewertung erhalten und wird mit einem Budget von knapp 8 Mio. EUR unterst\u00fctzt. Davon entfallen rund 1,4 Mio. EUR auf die FH Ober\u00f6sterreich. Zu den Partnern des Konsortiums geh\u00f6ren 17 Institutionen aus \u00d6sterreich, Belgien, Deutschland, Frankreich, Ungarn, den Niederlanden und Polen, darunter auch Unternehmen wie die Voestalpine, die den Rhein-Main-Donau-Korridor intensiv nutzt.<\/p>\n<h3>Digitalisierung als Schl\u00fcssel zur Effizienz<\/h3>\n<p>Die Voestalpine sieht in der Digitalisierung der Lieferkette einen entscheidenden Faktor zur Steigerung von Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit. Im Rahmen von HERFRIED sollen innovative L\u00f6sungen entlang der gesamten Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette entwickelt werden, die von der Rohstoffbeschaffung bis zur Auslieferung reichen. Die enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Projektpartnern soll dazu beitragen, datengetriebene Entscheidungsprozesse zu f\u00f6rdern und resilientere Lieferketten zu schaffen.<\/p>\n<p>Ein zentrales Ziel des Projekts ist die vollst\u00e4ndige digitale Integration der Binnenschifffahrt in multimodale Logistikketten. Putz-Egger betont, dass durch die Digitalisierung die relevanten Unternehmen und Verkehrstr\u00e4ger miteinander vernetzt werden, um die Logistikprozesse zu optimieren. Dies umfasst die Entwicklung smarter Schiffe, standardisierter Datenr\u00e4ume sowie die Integration von Verwaltungs- und Beh\u00f6rdensystemen.<\/p>\n<h3>Praktische Umsetzung durch Pilotprojekte<\/h3>\n<p>HERFRIED wird in sieben industrienahen Pilotprojekten entlang zentraler europ\u00e4ischer Korridore getestet. Dabei liegt der Fokus sowohl auf St\u00fcck- und Sch\u00fcttg\u00fctern als auch auf multimodalen G\u00fctern wie Containern. Das Projekt baut auf bestehenden Plattformen auf und sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass relevante Daten nahtlos mit \u00fcbergeordneten Logistiksystemen verbunden werden.<\/p>\n<p>Die Einbindung \u00f6ffentlicher Stellen gew\u00e4hrleistet, dass geltende Gesetze und Standards ber\u00fccksichtigt werden. Zudem richtet sich das Projekt an die Politik, um geeignete Rahmenbedingungen zu schaffen, die den Transport auf Wasserstra\u00dfen f\u00f6rdern.<\/p>\n<p>Die ober\u00f6sterreichische Standortagentur Business Upper Austria hat das Projekt bei der Antragstellung unterst\u00fctzt, indem sie inhaltliche und strategische Aspekte \u00fcberpr\u00fcfte und Feedback gab. HERFRIED wird am 1. Oktober 2026 starten und ist auf eine Laufzeit von drei Jahren angelegt.<\/p>\n<p>Ein entscheidender Impulsgeber f\u00fcr das Projekt ist Herfried Leitner, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer einer der
