W\u00e4hrend Ghana bestrebt ist, sich als f\u00fchrendes Handels- und Logistikzentrum in Westafrika zu positionieren, suchen Akteure der Branche nach Wegen, um die ungenutzten M\u00f6glichkeiten im Luftfrachtsektor zu erschliessen. Dies wurde deutlich w\u00e4hrend eines Treffens zwischen dem Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer von Air Ghana, Karim Trabolusi (rechts), und dem Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority (GSA), Ransford Gyampo.<\/p>\n<h3>Kooperation zur St\u00e4rkung der Luftfrachtindustrie<\/h3>\n<p>Das Treffen fand in einem konstruktiven Rahmen statt, in dem Gyampo Air Ghana zur Einf\u00fchrung seiner Luftfrachtoperationen gratulierte. Er bezeichnete diesen Schritt als wertvolle Erg\u00e4nzung zur Logistiklandschaft Ghanas und betonte, dass spezialisierte Luftfrachtservices eine bedeutende Rolle bei der Bew\u00e4ltigung von Kapazit\u00e4tsengp\u00e4ssen im Luftfrachtsektor spielen k\u00f6nnten. Gyampo wies darauf hin, dass viele Passagierflugzeuge in Ghana und der Region oft nur begrenzte Frachtkapazit\u00e4ten haben, was f\u00fcr Unternehmen, die auf effiziente Transportl\u00f6sungen angewiesen sind, eine Herausforderung darstellt.<\/p>\n<p>Gyampo betonte zudem, dass Air Ghana das Potenzial habe, eine wichtige Rolle im Handel zwischen Ghana und den Nachbarl\u00e4ndern zu \u00fcbernehmen und die Warenbewegungen auf dem Kontinent zu unterst\u00fctzen. Er hob die zentrale Funktion der GSA als Regulierungsbeh\u00f6rde der Schifffahrts- und Logistikbranche hervor und forderte alle Akteure auf, die Richtlinien der Beh\u00f6rde gem\u00e4\u00df dem Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority Act von 2024 (Act 1122) zu befolgen.<\/p>\n<p>Trabolusi erl\u00e4uterte die umfangreichen betrieblichen und regulatorischen Anforderungen, die mit der Gr\u00fcndung und dem Betrieb einer Luftfrachtgesellschaft verbunden sind. Er erkl\u00e4rte, dass Air Ghana eine sichere, zuverl\u00e4ssige und wettbewerbsf\u00e4hige Frachttransportdienstleistung anstrebe, die den Versendern eine effiziente M\u00f6glichkeit f\u00fcr ihre Gesch\u00e4fte bietet und gleichzeitig zur Vision Ghanas beitr\u00e4gt, ein bevorzugtes Handelszentrum in der Region zu werden.<\/p>\n<h3>Herausforderungen im Luftfrachtsektor<\/h3>\n<p>Trabolusi wies jedoch auf mehrere aufkommende Herausforderungen hin, die die Branche betreffen. Dazu z\u00e4hlt ein R\u00fcckgang des Frachtvolumens, den er teilweise auf sich \u00e4ndernde Handelsmuster zur\u00fcckf\u00fchrt. Einige Importeure, die normalerweise Waren \u00fcber Frachtkan\u00e4le versenden w\u00fcrden, reisen stattdessen ins Ausland, kaufen Produkte direkt und bringen diese als pers\u00f6nliches Gep\u00e4ck zur\u00fcck, um Kosten zu sparen. Diese Praxis, so Trabolusi, trage zur Abnahme des Frachtvolumens in der Branche bei.<\/p>\n<p>Zus\u00e4tzlich nannte er steigende Betriebskosten, die mit globalen Entwicklungen verbunden sind. Der anhaltende Konflikt zwischen den USA und dem Iran habe direkte Auswirkungen auf die Preise f\u00fcr Flugbenzin, was zus\u00e4tzlichen Kostendruck auf Fluggesellschaften und Unternehmen im Handels- und Logistiksektor aus\u00fcbe. Trabolusi appellierte an die GSA, die Bem\u00fchungen zur Sensibilisierung f\u00fcr spezialisierte Luftfrachtservices zu unterst\u00fctzen und Air Ghana bei der Marktdurchdringung durch Kooperationen mit Branchenakteuren zu helfen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Leiterin der Abteilung f\u00fcr Versenderdienste und Handelsf\u00f6rderung bei der GSA, Monica Josiah (links), begr\u00fcsste den Eintritt von Air Ghana in den Luftfrachtmarkt und bezeichnete dies als positive Entwicklung f\u00fcr den Handels- und Logistiksektor des Landes.
