USD zu einem maritimen und logistischen Zentrum Ostindiens entwickeln. Im Fokus stehen H\u00e4fen, Wasserwege und multimodale Logistik.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"309\" data-end=\"648\">Indiens Minister f\u00fcr H\u00e4fen, Schifffahrt und Wasserwege, Sarbananda Sonowal, hat in Kalkutta ein Investitionsprogramm im Umfang von rund 2,3 Mrd. USD f\u00fcr Westbengalen vorgestellt. Die Projekte sollen bis 2031 umgesetzt werden und nach Regierungsangaben mehr als 62.500 direkte und indirekte Arbeitspl\u00e4tze schaffen.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"986\">Zu den Vorhaben geh\u00f6ren der Aufbau des multimodalen Logistikzentrums Balagarh, die Erweiterung und Mechanisierung der Hafenanlagen von Kolkata und Haldia, der Ausbau der Binnenwasserstrassen sowie neue Werft- und Reparaturkapazit\u00e4ten. Zudem sind Investitionen in Flusstourismus, Uferentwicklungen und hafennahe Industriecluster geplant.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1358\">F\u00fcr die Frachtwirtschaft besonders relevant sind die geplanten Verbesserungen der Hafen- und Wasserweginfrastruktur. Das Frachtaufkommen des Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port stieg nach Regierungsangaben von 46,3 Mio. t im Jahr 2014 auf 70,9 Mio. t im Gesch\u00e4ftsjahr 2025\/26. Das Transportvolumen auf den Binnenwasserstrassen habe sich im gleichen Zeitraum nahezu verf\u00fcnffacht.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1360\" data-end=\"1674\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Die Projekte sind Teil der Strategie \u201eMaritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047\u201c, mit der Indien seine maritime Infrastruktur modernisieren und die Logistikkosten senken will.
