F\u00fcr das Pilotprojekt wurden rund 50 Container mit Rennausr\u00fcstung \u00fcber fast 2.000 km von Miami FL (USA) nach Montreal (Kanada) bef\u00f6rdert. Etwa zwei Drittel der sonst per Lkw transportierten Fracht auf dieser Strecke wurden auf die Schiene verlagert.<\/p>\n<p>Die Lieferung umfasste nicht weniger als 46 High-Cube-Container sowie vier TEU. Laut DHL konnten damit Emissionen reduziert werden, ohne den engen Zeitplan der Rennserie zu gef\u00e4hrden. W\u00e4hrend des Transports wurden die Container mit Tracking-Ger\u00e4ten und Ersch\u00fctterungssensoren \u00fcberwacht, um Sicherheit und termingerechte Ankunft sicherzustellen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt ist Teil der gemeinsamen Strategie von DHL und der Formel 1, Emissionen insgesamt zu reduzieren. Neben dem Schienentransport setzt der Logistikdienstleister bereits auf nachhaltige Flugkraftstoffe, Biokraftstoff-Lkw und optimierte Routenplanung.
