Laut Angaben der Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) stieg die Zahl der Schiffsank\u00fcnfte um 9% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr, was auf eine anhaltende Erholung und zunehmende betriebliche Dynamik hinweist. Insgesamt wurden 8.630 Schiffe registriert, w\u00e4hrend im Vorjahr 7.912 Ank\u00fcnfte verzeichnet wurden.<\/p>\n<h3>Wachstum der Frachtvolumina<\/h3>\n<p>Diese Entwicklung ist Teil der Strategie \u201eReinvent for Growth\u201c, die darauf abzielt, die betriebliche Effizienz zu steigern und die Hafenleistung zu verbessern. Die TNPA berichtete von einem Anstieg des Frachtvolumens in ihren acht kommerziellen Seeh\u00e4fen um 4,2% auf etwa 304 Mio. t. Dies stellt das st\u00e4rkste Wachstum seit dem Gesch\u00e4ftsjahr 2011\/12 dar. Besonders bemerkenswert ist, dass drei von f\u00fcnf Hauptfrachtkategorien ein starkes Wachstum verzeichneten, w\u00e4hrend die Segmente f\u00fcr St\u00fcckgut und Fl\u00fcssigladung Anzeichen einer allm\u00e4hlichen Erholung zeigen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Automobilindustrie f\u00fchrte die Erholung mit einem zweistelligen Wachstum von 13,3% an, wobei der Hafen von Durban seine Durchsatzziele \u00fcbertraf. Auch die Containerumschl\u00e4ge wuchsen stark und stiegen um 7,1%, was die j\u00e4hrlichen Budgeterwartungen um 3,6% \u00fcbertraf. Dieser Anstieg wurde ma\u00dfgeblich durch einen 22%igen Anstieg der Volumina von Zitrusfr\u00fcchten beg\u00fcnstigt. Die Trockenmasseumschl\u00e4ge erh\u00f6hten sich um 4,2%, was haupts\u00e4chlich auf die Exportnachfrage nach Chromerz, Magnetit und Mangan zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren ist.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Phillips, CEO der Transnet Group, erkl\u00e4rte: \u201eDie insgesamt starke Wachstumsleistung signalisiert ein verbessertes wirtschaftliches Umfeld im Inland, einschliesslich der Fortschritte aus den Transnet-Erholungsinitiativen und den Verbesserungen in den Hafen- und Schienenabl\u00e4ufen. Dieses Wachstum bei der Schiffsaktivit\u00e4t und den Frachtvolumina zeigt, dass die Massnahmen von Transnet messbare Ergebnisse liefern.\u201c<\/p>\n<h3>Infrastrukturprojekte zur Unterst\u00fctzung der Zukunft<\/h3>\n<p>Transnet plant, die Infrastrukturprojekte im gesamten Hafensystem voranzutreiben, um zuk\u00fcnftige Anforderungen zu unterst\u00fctzen und die betriebliche Resilienz zu verbessern. Im Hafen von Durban sind Erweiterungspl\u00e4ne vorgesehen, die darauf abzielen, die Containerumschlagkapazit\u00e4t erheblich zu steigern.
