USD Zuschuss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Der texanische Hafen Port Freeport hat einen Zuschuss in H\u00f6he von 11 Mio. USD aus dem US-Programm f\u00fcr die Entwicklung der Hafeninfrastruktur (PIDP) f\u00fcr das Haushaltsjahr 2025 erhalten. Dies wurde durch die U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) genehmigt und soll dazu dienen, wesentliche Infrastrukturverbesserungen am Velasco Terminal vorzunehmen. Ziel ist es, die Kapazit\u00e4ten f\u00fcr die Frachtabwicklung zu erh\u00f6hen und die betriebliche Effizienz zu steigern.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Giesecke, Vorsitzender der Port Freeport Commission, \u00e4usserte sich zu den Vorteilen der F\u00f6rderung: \u201eDie Verbesserung unserer Terminalkapazit\u00e4ten versetzt Port Freeport in die Lage, effizienter zu arbeiten, unseren Kunden besser zu dienen und zuk\u00fcnftige Wachstumschancen zu nutzen, die Arbeitspl\u00e4tze schaffen und die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in Brazoria County und dar\u00fcber hinaus f\u00f6rdern werden.\u201c Giesecke dankte auch den politischen Vertretern Senator Ted Cruz, Senator John Cornyn und Congressman Randy Weber f\u00fcr ihre Unterst\u00fctzung bei der Sicherung dieser Mittel.<\/p>\n<h3>Geplante Verbesserungen am Velasco Terminal<\/h3>\n<p>Das Projekt umfasst die Umgestaltung von ca. 4 ha in einen hochfunktionalen Bereich f\u00fcr die Frachtabwicklung, der darauf ausgelegt ist, Effizienz, Sicherheit und Schutz zu verbessern. Zu den geplanten Massnahmen geh\u00f6rt die Aufwertung der Oberfl\u00e4che von stabilisiertem Kalkstein auf eine strapazierf\u00e4hige Betonoberfl\u00e4che, die Installation fortschrittlicher Regenwasserableitungssysteme sowie die Anbringung von Hochmastbeleuchtung zur Unterst\u00fctzung der Terminaloperationen.<\/p>\n<p>Phyllis Saathoff, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrerin und CEO von Port Freeport, betonte die Bedeutung dieser Investitionen: \u201eDiese Verbesserungen werden die betriebliche Leistung am Velasco Terminal steigern, indem sie die Effizienz erh\u00f6hen und eine sichere sowie zuverl\u00e4ssige Frachtabwicklung unterst\u00fctzen. Solche Investitionen erm\u00f6glichen es Port Freeport, weiterhin zuverl\u00e4ssige Dienstleistungen anzubieten und sich an die sich wandelnden Anforderungen des maritimen Handels anzupassen.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Das PIDP-Programm stellt Bundesmittel f\u00fcr Projekte bereit, die die Bewegung von Waren durch US-H\u00e4fen verbessern und somit eine effizientere und widerstandsf\u00e4higere nationale Lieferkette unterst\u00fctzen. Port Freeport z\u00e4hlt zu den f\u00fchrenden H\u00e4fen f\u00fcr den Export von Roh\u00f6l und Fl\u00fcssiggas und belegt national den 6. Platz bei Chemikalien sowie den 13. Platz bei der gesamten ausl\u00e4ndischen Wasserlast. In Texas rangiert der Hafen auf dem 4. Platz in dieser Kategorie.<\/p>\n<p>Eine Wirtschaftlichkeitsstudie des Texas A&amp;M Transportation Institute aus dem Jahr 2022 hat ergeben, dass der Freeport Harbor Channel landesweit 266.300 Arbeitspl\u00e4tze generiert und einen wirtschaftlichen Gesamtaussto\u00df von 157,3 Mrd. USD aufweist.
