Ziel ist es, die Auslastung der Z\u00fcge zu verbessern, Kosten zu senken und den Schieneng\u00fcterverkehr langfristig wirtschaftlicher zu gestalten. Hintergrund ist die Vorgabe des Bundes, dass der G\u00fcterverkehr ab 2033 eigenwirtschaftlich betrieben werden soll.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00fcnftig werden rund 50 Bedienpunkte mit geringer Nachfrage nicht mehr im EWLV bedient. Heute umfasst das Netz etwa 280 Standorte. Nach Angaben der SBB sollen dennoch rund 98% der bisherigen Transportmengen weiterhin auf der Schiene bef\u00f6rdert werden. Gleichzeitig sollen besser ausgelastete Z\u00fcge die Effizienz erh\u00f6hen.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr rund 200 Mitarbeitende in der Schweiz bringt die Umstellung Ver\u00e4nderungen mit sich, vor allem Arbeitsortswechsel. Betroffen sind unter anderem Standorte in Brig, Buchs SG, Chiasso, Thun und Fribourg. K\u00fcndigungen sollen laut SBB die Ausnahme bleiben.
