USD in den Bau eines speziellen Frachtterminals am Flughafen Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton). Diese Massnahme unterstreicht das langfristige Engagement des Unternehmens f\u00fcr den Markt in New South Wales und die australische Luftfahrtindustrie.<\/p>\n<p>Das neue Terminal wird auf einer Fl\u00e4che von 5.000 m\u00b2 innerhalb des 24-Stunden-Frachtbereichs des Flughafens betrieben, erg\u00e4nzt durch weitere 4.000 m\u00b2 angrenzendes Land. Der Flughafen wird das Gel\u00e4nde als \u201ekalte H\u00fclle\u201c \u00fcbergeben, w\u00e4hrend dnata die vollst\u00e4ndige betriebliche Ausstattung des Terminals \u00fcbernimmt, einschliesslich der notwendigen Infrastruktur und der Installation eines halbautomatisierten Materialhandhabungssystems.<\/p>\n<p>Von der Gesamtsumme werden etwa 3,8 Mio. USD in spezialisierte Ausr\u00fcstung und Technologie fliessen, um eine skalierbare und zukunftsf\u00e4hige Frachtabwicklung zu gew\u00e4hrleisten. Dies umfasst auch die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr spezielle Frachtg\u00fcter wie Pharmazeutika und andere zeit- und temperaturkritische Sendungen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Betrieb der Frachtfl\u00fcge soll im Juli 2026 beginnen, noch bevor der Flughafen f\u00fcr Passagierfl\u00fcge vollst\u00e4ndig er\u00f6ffnet wird. Neben den direkten Arbeitspl\u00e4tzen wird die Einrichtung auch wirtschaftliche Vorteile f\u00fcr die Bereiche Frachtvermittlung, Logistik, Bodenabfertigung und verwandte Dienstleistungen in Western Sydney mit sich bringen.<\/p>\n<p>Burt Sigsworth, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer von dnata Airport Operations in Australien, \u00e4usserte sich zu der Investition: \u201eUnser Engagement am Western Sydney International spiegelt das Vertrauen in die langfristige wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Region wider und betont die wichtige Rolle, die die Luftfracht f\u00fcr den australischen Handel spielt.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Simon Hickey, CEO von WSI, bezeichnete dnata als wertvolle Erg\u00e4nzung des neuen 24-Stunden-Frachtbereichs des Flughafens. Er betonte, dass die Dienstleistungen des Unternehmens sowohl internationalen als auch nationalen Fluggesellschaften zugutekommen und die kritischen Lieferketten des Landes st\u00e4rken werden.<\/p>\n<p>Die Frachtzone am WSI wird \u00fcber Lagerr\u00e4ume verf\u00fcgen und in der Lage sein, gleichzeitig bis zu acht Grossraumflugzeuge zu bedienen. Die Er\u00f6ffnung wird mit einer Kapazit\u00e4t von mindestens 220.000 t Fracht pro Jahr erfolgen.<\/p>\n<p>Diese Ank\u00fcndigung erg\u00e4nzt dnatas fr\u00fchere Verpflichtung, in die Entwicklung eines modernen Catering-Zentrums innerhalb des Frachtbereichs von WSI zu investieren.
