Damit ist das Unternehmen f\u00fcr die operative Verantwortung des Standorts zust\u00e4ndig, nachdem diese zuvor bei einem anderen Betreiber lag. Parallel zu den laufenden Betriebsabl\u00e4ufen finden die Bauarbeiten zur Erweiterung des Gel\u00e4ndes statt, die das erste CargoBeamer-Terminal in Deutschland schaffen sollen. Die Inbetriebnahme der ersten Phase dieser Erweiterung ist f\u00fcr Anfang 2027 geplant, wie das Unternehmen mitteilt.<\/p>\n<p>Das Unternehmen bietet bereits seit mehreren Jahren einen intermodalen Service zwischen Kaldenkirchen und Domodossola an. Dieser Service erm\u00f6glicht den Einsatz von nicht kranf\u00e4higen Sattelaufliegern auf Schienen. Mit derzeit 20 w\u00f6chentlichen Hin- und R\u00fcckfahrten geh\u00f6rt dieser Service nach Unternehmensangaben zu den am h\u00e4ufigsten genutzten im intermodalen Sektor Europas. Am Standort Kaldenkirchen werden die Sattelauflieger mit Reachstacker-Ger\u00e4ten abgefertigt.<\/p>\n<h3>Technologische Neuerungen und Kapazit\u00e4tserweiterung<\/h3>\n<p>Die Einf\u00fchrung der CargoBeamer-Technologie soll eine vollautomatische und horizontale Handhabung aller Arten von Sattelaufliegern erm\u00f6glichen. Diese technologische Umstellung soll die j\u00e4hrliche Kapazit\u00e4t des Terminals ab 2027 auf etwa 140.000 Ladeeinheiten verdoppeln. Nach Abschluss beider Erweiterungsphasen wird die Kapazit\u00e4t des Terminals laut CargoBeamer voraussichtlich 200.000 Ladeeinheiten pro Jahr \u00fcbersteigen, was mehr als das Dreifache der
