Zudem soll das System die Windwinkel erweitern.<\/p>\n<p>Flettner-Rotoren, die in den 1920er Jahren erstmals eingesetzt wurden, gewinnen gem\u00e4ss dem Unternehmen zunehmend an Bedeutung, da Schiffsbetreibende nach M\u00f6glichkeiten suchen, den Kraftstoffverbrauch und Emissionen zu reduzieren. Ein zentrales Problem bei der breiteren Anwendung dieser Technologie sei jedoch die Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit der Leistung bei wechselnden Windrichtungen. Das urspr\u00fcngliche Konzept von Anton Flettner habe sich \u00fcber die Jahre nur minimal ver\u00e4ndert.<\/p>\n<p>Das Design von EcosNavis zielt darauf ab, das effektive &#8222;Windfenster&#8220; des Rotors zu erweitern. Durch die Umformung des Windstroms im Kielwasser des Rotors soll ein h\u00f6herer Schub bei gleichzeitig geringerem Drehmoment erzielt werden.
