Diese Forderung erfolgt vor dem Hintergrund einer globalen Krise der Lieferketten und steigender \u00d6lpreise. Besonders im Fokus steht das Unternehmen DP World, das in Australien mehrere Containerterminals betreibt und eine umfassende Automatisierungs- und KI-Agenda verfolgt, die von den ausl\u00e4ndischen Eigent\u00fcmern des Unternehmens vorangetrieben wird.<\/p>\n<p>DP World betreibt Terminals in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne und Fremantle und hat sich damit eine dominierende Stellung im australischen Containerterminalmarkt erarbeitet. Die australische Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrung des Unternehmens verfolgt eine Agenda zur Implementierung von KI und Automatisierung, die von dem ehemaligen globalen CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem angestossen wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Laut der MUA hat DP World in den letzten Jahren Hunderte Millionen Dollar aus australischen Unternehmen und Verbrauchern erwirtschaftet, jedoch kaum Steuern in Australien gezahlt. \u00dcber ein Jahrzehnt hinweg zahlte das Unternehmen keine K\u00f6rperschaftssteuer, w\u00e4hrend die L\u00f6hne der Arbeiter und die damit verbundenen Steuern, die 2025 umgerechnet fast 50 Mio. USD betrugen, die Hauptbeitr\u00e4ge zur Wirtschaft des Landes darstellten.<\/p>\n<h3>Bericht \u00fcber Automatisierung und Arbeitsplatzverluste<\/h3>\n<p>Gemeinsam mit dem Centre for International Corporate Tax Accountability and Research (Cictar) hat die MUA im australischen Parlament den <a href=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/636a46c59a62847f542195d2\/t\/69bfa4856f5ac0743eeadbe8\/1774167173096\/MUA_DP_28p_web+version.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bericht \u201eJobverluste und Gewinnverlagerung bei DP World: Wie KI-Automatisierung das wirtschaftliche Wohlergehen Australiens bedroht<\/a>\u201c vorgestellt. Der Bericht beschreibt, wie Dubai Ports plant, grossfl\u00e4chige KI-Automatisierung in Australien einzuf\u00fchren, was bis zu 1.000 Arbeitspl\u00e4tze, also \u00fcber 60% der Belegschaft, gef\u00e4hrden k\u00f6nnte. Die vorgeschlagene Automatisierung w\u00fcrde qualifizierte, gewerkschaftlich organisierte Arbeitspl\u00e4tze durch fahrerlose Fahrzeuge und fernbediente Kr\u00e4ne ersetzen. Diese Initiative steht im Widerspruch zum Nationalen KI-Plan der australischen Regierung, der eine Konsultation von Arbeitnehmern und Gewerkschaften vorsieht.<\/p>\n<p>Der Bericht weist darauf hin, dass das Hauptziel der Automatisierung nicht die Verbesserung der Effizienz der Lieferkette ist, sondern die Senkung der Arbeitskosten und die Steigerung der Gewinne. H\u00f6here Geb\u00fchren, die an Unternehmen und Verbraucher weitergegeben werden, tragen zur Inflation bei.<\/p>\n<p>Die MUA hat eine Reihe von Massnahmen zur Sicherung der australischen Lieferkette gefordert, um die Gemeinschaft und die Wirtschaft vor globalen Schocks zu sch\u00fctzen.
