Der philippinische Terminalbetreiber NorthPort treibt die Modernisierung seiner Hafeninfrastruktur weiter voran. Im Mittelpunkt steht die strukturelle Verst\u00e4rkung der Mole 14, die Teil eines dreij\u00e4hrigen Investitionsprogramms zur Modernisierung des Terminals ist.<\/p>\n

Nach Angaben des Unternehmens wurden die Bauarbeiten an den zweiten und dritten Abschnitten des Kais mit jeweils 43 m L\u00e4nge fr\u00fcher als geplant abgeschlossen. Damit wurde die Stabilit\u00e4t des Kais von Terminal 1 verbessert und gleichzeitig die Widerstandsf\u00e4higkeit der Anlage gegen\u00fcber seismischen Belastungen erh\u00f6ht. Seit Februar konzentrieren sich die Arbeiten auf den vierten und letzten Abschnitt des Piers, mit einer L\u00e4nge von 53 m.<\/p>\n

Parallel dazu werden weitere Modernisierungsmassnahmen umgesetzt. Dazu geh\u00f6ren die Erneuerung der verbleibenden Deckfl\u00e4chen sowie Reparaturen an besch\u00e4digten Bereichen oberhalb des Decks, um strukturelle Sch\u00e4den zu verhindern. Zus\u00e4tzlich wird das bestehende Fender-System von 700 mm auf 1,000 mm Zellfender aufger\u00fcstet, um das sichere Anlegen von Schiffen zu verbessern.<\/p>\n

Die Arbeiten erfolgen parallel zum laufenden Terminalbetrieb, um Unterbrechungen m\u00f6glichst gering zu halten. Weitere Bauphasen sollen bis 2027 abgeschlossen werden und langfristig den wachsenden inl\u00e4ndischen Seeverkehr unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n
