Die beiden Schiffe werden im China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing gebaut und sollen die Kapazit\u00e4t sowie die Flexibilit\u00e4t im europ\u00e4ischen Kurzstreckentransport erh\u00f6hen. Mit dieser Bestellung erh\u00f6ht sich die Gesamtzahl der im Bau befindlichen Schiffe auf vier.<\/p>\n<h3>Technologische Fortschritte und Umweltaspekte<\/h3>\n<p>Die neuen PCTCs werden mit einer Kapazit\u00e4t von jeweils 3000 CEU ausgestattet und sollen mit modernen, mehrstoffbetriebenen Hybridantrieben ausgestattet werden. Diese Technologie zielt darauf ab, den Kraftstoffverbrauch zu optimieren und die Emissionen zu reduzieren. Laut Glenn Edvardsen, CEO von UECC, stellen die neuen Schiffe einen bedeutenden Fortschritt in Bezug auf Sicherheit, Effizienz und Umweltleistung dar. Die Schiffe werden zudem mit einer ballastfreien Konstruktion ausgestattet, die den Kraftstoffverbrauch weiter senkt und \u00fcber Echtzeit-Emissions\u00fcberwachungssysteme verf\u00fcgt.<\/p>\n<p>Die Schiffe werden \u00fcber neun Decks verf\u00fcgen und eine Heckrampe mit einer Kapazit\u00e4t von 160 t bieten. Dies erm\u00f6glicht den Transport einer Vielzahl von Fahrzeugen sowie schwerer und grosser Ladungen, die normalerweise au\u00dferhalb des typischen PCTC-Segments liegen. Die Schiffe sind f\u00fcr die Auslieferung Anfang 2028 geplant.<\/p>\n<h3>Fokus auf Sicherheit und digitale L\u00f6sungen<\/h3>\n<p>Ein zentrales Anliegen bei der Entwicklung der neuen Schiffe war die Sicherheit. Edvardsen betont, dass ein robustes Sicherheitskonzept implementiert wurde, das die Brandbek\u00e4mpfung verbessert und erweiterte \u00dcberwachungs- und Reaktionsm\u00f6glichkeiten integriert. Die Schiffe sollen nicht nur den aktuellen Vorschriften entsprechen, sondern auch zuk\u00fcnftige Sicherheitsstandards ber\u00fccksichtigen.<\/p>\n<p>Zus\u00e4tzlich wird ein integriertes digitales System implementiert, das die Betriebsabl\u00e4ufe optimiert und die Entscheidungsfindung unterst\u00fctzt. Diese digitalen L\u00f6sungen sollen die Leistung verbessern und die Transparenz w\u00e4hrend der gesamten Lebensdauer der Schiffe erh\u00f6hen.<\/p>\n<p>Mit dieser neuen Bestellung wird UECC insgesamt neun dual-fuel LNG und mehrstoffbetriebene Hybrid-PCTCs in seiner Flotte haben, die seit 2016 in Betrieb sind. Diese Schiffe sind auch so konzipiert, dass sie zuk\u00fcnftige technologische Innovationen und alternative Kraftstoffe aufnehmen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<h3>Engagement f\u00fcr Nachhaltigkeit<\/h3>\n<p>UECC hat sich verpflichtet, die Umweltbelastung durch die Teilnahme an Initiativen wie dem \u201eSail for Change\u201c-Programm zu reduzieren. Dieses Programm erm\u00f6glicht es Fahrzeugherstellern, erhebliche Einsparungen bei den Scope-3-Emissionen zu erzielen.
