Ein neuer staatlich unterst\u00fctzter Deal, der k\u00fcrzlich bekannt gegeben wurde, soll die R\u00fcckkehr des regelm\u00e4ssigen Schieneng\u00fcterverkehrs \u00fcber den \u00c4rmelkanal erm\u00f6glichen. Diese Initiative wird von der britischen Regierung als Teil ihrer Strategie zur F\u00f6rderung des Schieneng\u00fcterverkehrs betrachtet, wie diese mitteilt.<\/p>\n<p>Im Rahmen des Deals wird Network Rail, zusammen mit seinem Immobilienentwicklungsunternehmen Platform4, die Kontrolle \u00fcber das Barking Eurohub-Gel\u00e4nde im Osten Londons \u00fcbernehmen. Das Gel\u00e4nde geh\u00f6rt derzeit der Firma Legal &amp; General. Die Pl\u00e4ne sehen Investitionen in H\u00f6he von rund 15 Millionen Pfund vor, um das Gel\u00e4nde in einen internationalen Logistikknotenpunkt umzuwandeln.<\/p>\n<p>Die Wiederaufnahme des regul\u00e4ren G\u00fcterverkehrs durch den Kanaltunnel wird von der Regierung als Massnahme zur Reduzierung von Umweltverschmutzung, Schlagl\u00f6chern und Staus angesehen.
