Diese Zusammenarbeit begann zu Jahresbeginn und sieht eine j\u00e4hrliche Transportmenge von etwa 75.000 Tonnen Kalk vor. Um diese Menge zu bew\u00e4ltigen, werden zwei Pendelzug-Rundl\u00e4ufe pro Woche mit jeweils zw\u00f6lf G\u00fcterwagen eingesetzt, wie Rhein Cargo mitteilt.<\/p>\n<h3>Transport durch Hybridtechnologie<\/h3>\n<p>F\u00fcr die Kalktransporte nutzt RheinCargo eine Hybridlokomotive des Typs \u201eVectron Dual Mode\u201c von Siemens. Diese Lokomotive erm\u00f6glicht es, die nicht elektrifizierte Strecke nach Kerkerbach zu erreichen und dort die Rangierarbeiten ohne eine Rangierlokomotive durchzuf\u00fchren. Der Dieselantrieb kommt dabei nach Unternehmensangaben nur auf der ersten und letzten Meile zum Einsatz, w\u00e4hrend der Hauptlauf unter elektrischer Traktion erfolgt. Diese Vorgehensweise tr\u00e4gt dazu bei, Leerlokfahrten zu vermeiden und einen emissionsarmen Transport zu gew\u00e4hrleisten, wie Rhein Cargo mitteilt.<\/p>\n<p>Zus\u00e4tzlich steht RheinCargo vor einer Herausforderung im Rahmen des Bauprojekts \u201eGeneralsanierung rechter Rhein\u201c, das zwischen Troisdorf und Wiesbaden durchgef\u00fchrt wird. Ab Juli 2026 wird ein Teil der Strecke zwischen Kerkerbach und Duisburg-Nord f\u00fcr mehrere Monate gesperrt sein.
