Die Airline wird Rom-Fiumicino (FCO) in ihren regul\u00e4ren Frachterflugplan aufnehmen. Ab dem 7. Februar 2026 wird die Verbindung von Frankfurt (FRA) nach Rom einmal w\u00f6chentlich, samstags, unter der Flugnummer LH8344 angeboten. Der Flug f\u00fchrt von Rom weiter nach Istanbul (IST) und zum Drehkreuz in M\u00fcnchen (MUC). Bereits seit Dezember 2025 wurden A321-Frachter ad-hoc nach Rom eingesetzt, um der gestiegenen Nachfrage gerecht zu werden. Die Aufnahme in den regul\u00e4ren Flugplan unterstreicht die strategische Bedeutung des neuen Drehkreuzes in S\u00fcdeuropa.<\/p>\n<h3>Erweiterung in Richtung Afrika<\/h3>\n<p>Zus\u00e4tzlich wird der Flughafen Algier (ALG) ab dem 10. Februar 2026 in das Netzwerk aufgenommen. Die Verbindung wird dienstags unter der Flugnummer LH8308 angeboten. Mit dieser neuen Destination k\u00f6nnen Kunden nun direkte Frachterverbindungen zu insgesamt sieben Zielorten in der Region Mittlerer Osten und Afrika buchen, darunter Beirut, Casablanca, Kairo, Jerewan, Tel Aviv und Tunis.<\/p>\n<p>Ashwin Bhat, Vorstandsvorsitzender von Lufthansa Cargo, \u00e4usserte sich zu den neuen Zielen: \u201eWir freuen uns, unseren Kunden gleich zu Jahresbeginn ein erweitertes Kurz- und Mittelstrecken-Frachternetzwerk und noch mehr Konnektivit\u00e4t bieten zu k\u00f6nnen. Mit neuen Zielen im Streckennetz ebnet Lufthansa Cargo weiterhin den Weg f\u00fcr eine schnellere, zuverl\u00e4ssigere und flexiblere Logistik auf dem gesamten Kontinent f\u00fcr unsere Kunden.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Das Kurz- und Mittelstreckennetz der Airline umfasst nun insgesamt 22 Destinationen, die mit einer Flotte von vier A321-Frachtern bedient werden. Dar\u00fcber hinaus erg\u00e4nzen 18 Boeing 777-Frachter der Langstreckenflotte sowie Beiladekapazit\u00e4ten von Lufthansa Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, ITA Airways und SunExpress das weltweite Streckennetz von Lufthansa Cargo. Die Drehkreuze in Frankfurt, M\u00fcnchen, Wien, Br\u00fcssel und Rom bilden die infrastrukturelle Basis f\u00fcr den schnellen Frachttransport und erm\u00f6glichen ein globales Netzwerk mit rund 350 Destinationen in 100 L\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n<p>Lufthansa Cargo geh\u00f6rt zu den f\u00fchrenden Frachtfluggesellschaften weltweit und ist Teil der Lufthansa Group. T\u00e4glich transportiert das Unternehmen durchschnittlich 2.500 t Fracht \u00fcber seine f\u00fcnf Frachthubs. Die Airline vermarktet die Frachtkapazit\u00e4ten ihrer Passagierflugzeuge sowie ihre eigene Frachterflotte und setzt t\u00e4glich rund 300 Lkw unter einer Lufthansa Cargo-Flugnummer ein. Das Unternehmen verfolgt das Ziel, durch massgeschneiderte Logistikl\u00f6sungen die globalen M\u00e4rkte und Handelspartner zu verbinden und investiert dabei in innovative Technologien und Nachhaltigkeit. Im Jahr 2024 erzielte Lufthansa Cargo einen Umsatz von 3,26 Mrd. EUR und eine Transportleistung von 8,5 Mrd. Frachttonnenkilometern.
