Mit Wirkung zum 1. November ist Tobias Schmidt zum CEO DHL Global Forwarding Europa ernannt worden. Er folgt beim Luft- und Seefrachtspezialisten von Deutsche Post DHL Group auf Thomas George, der die europ\u00e4ische Organisation seit 2016 erfolgreich geleitet hat. In seiner neuen Rolle berichtet Schmidt direkt an Tim Scharwath, CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, und leitet die deutsche und schweizerische Organisation weiterhin in einer Doppelfunktion.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Bonn) Thomas George konzentriert sich k\u00fcnftig auf seine globale Rolle als Chief Commercial Officer, die er seit 2020 innehat, und berichtet dabei weiterhin an Tim Scharwath.<\/p>\n

„Wir sind \u00fcberzeugt, dass Tobias Schmidts Unternehmergeist und seine nachgewiesene Erfolgsbilanz im Speditionsmarkt dazu beitragen werden, den Marktanteil von DHL Global Forwarding in Europa weiter auszubauen und die europ\u00e4ische Organisation f\u00fcr die Zukunft noch mehr zu st\u00e4rken“, so Tim Scharwath, CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. „Thomas George hat als CEO DHL Global Forwarding Europa hervorragende Arbeit geleistet, wird sich aber nun voll und ganz auf seine globale Rolle als Chief Commercial Officer konzentrieren. Mit seiner Erfahrung und seinem Engagement hat er ma\u00dfgeblich zum Erfolg von DHL Global Forwarding Europa beigetragen und \u00fcbergibt seinem Nachfolger eine \u00e4u\u00dferst leistungsstarke Organisation.“<\/p>\n

Tobias Schmidt verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung in der Logistikbranche sowie eine fundierte Expertise in den Bereichen Integration und Transformation. Er kam im April 2019 als CEO DHL Global Forwarding Deutschland zum Konzern und legte den Fokus auf Leistungsverbesserung und Gesch\u00e4ftswachstum. Au\u00dferdem steigerte Schmidt durch automatisierte und digitalisierte Prozesse die Effektivit\u00e4t. In seiner letzten Position als CEO DHL Global Forwarding Deutschland und Schweiz hat er die Marktposition in beiden L\u00e4ndern verbessert, indem er die Zusammenarbeit und die Nutzung von Synergien zwischen beiden L\u00e4ndern weiter vorantrieb.<\/p>\n
