Wind of change over Georgia Ports

Georgia Ports Authority has named Flavio Batista (left) as CCO and Rob Dooley (right) as CFO, effective 1 July 2024.

The appointments are part of a succession plan implemented in 2023 to replace CFO Michaela Thompson, who retired on 30 June 2024, and CCO Cliff Pyron, who has now taken on a GPA advisor role.

Batista joined GPA as vice president of sales and marketing in January 2023. His most recent position was senior vice president and head of Americas sales at the ocean carrier Wallenius Wilhelmsen Group.

Dooley came to GPA in August 2023 as senior director of finance. He brings extensive experience from the public and private sector, having worked for companies like Northrup Grumman, Integra Connect, and Sontiq, (formerly called EZ Shield). (cj)
