Transitions at World Group
World Group, a global logistics and supply chain provider, has appointed Joey Palmer and Duncan Wright as co-CEOs.
In addition, Fred Hunger has moved from his role as CEO to executive chairman, while Palmer and Wright will continue to serve as presidents of World Group’s flagship brands – Container Port Group (CPG), UWL, and World Distribution Services (WDS) - respectively, thereby maintaining these brands' service offerings.
Fred Hunger, son of Jack E. Hunger, who founded World Shipping over 60 years ago, has steered the company's growth and strategic expansion through the years. “Stepping into the executive chairman role, I am ready and excited to see Palmer and Wright take the lead,” Hunger said. (cj)
