Thai mangoes: better by sea
Daikin Reefer collaborated with Thai mango shipper Swift and CMA CGM to conduct static and live trial shipments using Daikin's Active CA technology, converting shipments of Nam Doc Mai and Mahachanok mangoes from air to sea transportation.
The trials successfully preserved the mangoes' quality, proving that a shift to ocean shipping is feasible. This approach reduces costs, greenhouse gas emissions, and carbon footprint.
The technology's control logic managed atmospheric conditions within containers despite challenging external factors, producing positive results and proposing new market opportunities for shippers. (pb)
