Dave Clark to leave Amazon for Flexport
Dave Clark will become CEO of Flexport and join the members of the board on 1 September 2022. He will share his position with Ryan Petersen, Flexport’s current CEO, for the following six months. Petersen will then step into an executive chairman role, leaving Clark to be the company’s sole CEO.
Clark is currently CEO of Worldwide Consumer at Amazon, the division that owns the technology and the customer experience for Amazon.com. He joined Amazon in 1999 and advanced from the company’s MBA programme all the way to CEO of Worldwide Consumer.
Flexport grew its revenue from USD 2 million in 2014 to USD 3.3 billion in 2021, and the forecast for this year is close to USD 5 billion. (cj)
