Changes at the helm of DHL
DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist of Deutsche Post DHL Group and Hillebrand Gori – a DHL company, have announced that Dominique von Orelli (left) has taken over as CEO Hillebrand Gori with immediate effect.
Von Orelli succeeds Tim Scharwath, CEO DHL global forwarding, freight, who in a dual function has led and successfully driven the integration of Hillebrand Gori since the acquisition in March 2022. Von Orelli will maintain responsibility for ocean freight in the coming months in addition to his new role.
Casper Ellerbaek (right) will join DHL global forwarding on 1 September 2023, succeeding von Orelli as the new global head of ocean freight. In his professional career Ellerbaek has held management positions in the international logistics industry in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and, over the past twelve years, also in Asia. Both executives will report to Scharwath. (cj)
