Bjørnar Bukholm returns
Wallenius Wilhelmsen has appointed Bjørnar Bukholm as the new EVP and CFO. He has been CFO at Sector Alarm, a European provider of home security, since 2019. Before Sector Alarm, Bukholm spent nearly eight years at Wallenius Wilhelmsen holding several positions mainly within business development, strategy, finance and investor relations.
When he left Wallenius Wilhelmsen in 2019, Bukholm served as senior vice president of corporate finance, strategy & investor relations. He holds a master of business and economics from BI Norwegian Business School and he began his career in McKinsey & Company.
Bukholm will join the Wallenius Wilhelmsen no later than 1 May 2025. Jermund Lien, currently SVP global business performance management, will act as interim CFO from 1 November until Bukholm takes over. The outgoing CFO, Torbjørn Wist, will leave the company on 1 December 2024. (cj)
