Zeitfracht moves to Erfurt

Logistics services provider Zeitfracht intends to relocate its entire logistics business from Berlin to Erfurt (Thuringia, Germany), as Zeitfracht's CEO Wolfram Simon-Schröter announced when Wolfgang Tiefensee, Thuringia's minister of economic affairs, visited the company's Erfurt branch KNV Zeitfracht recently. KNV is the book and media logistics subsidiary of the Zeitfracht group with around 1'600 employees in Erfurt and Stuttgart.

Simon-Schröder explained that Erfurt was an excellent location for his company's planned further expansion, because of its good investment climate and central location but also because of the quick response and administrative decisions made by the federal state and the municipality.

400 jobs will be relocated to Erfurt with the move. The company aims to complete the move in the autumn – certainly before the start of the Christmas sales, Simon-Schröter said. (mw)
