Wilhelmshaven finds new investor

The rumours have come to an end: Hamburg carrier Hapag-Lloyd is set to acquire a 30% stake in Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW) and 50% of the shares of Rail Terminal Wilhelmshaven (RTW) at Jade Weser Port. Terminal operator Eurogate, founded in 1999, continues to hold the remaining shares.

The Jade Weser Port in Wilhelmshaven with the Eurogate Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW) has been in operation since September 2012. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Subject to approval by the antitrust authorities, the contract is expected to close in due course. (cd)
