VTG expanding in Eastern Europe

The German rail logistics provider VTG has acquired the remaining shares in the traction company Retrack Slovakia from Rail Services Slovakia, making it the sole owner of the Retrack Slovakia Group and its subsidiaries in Czechia and Hungary.

This acquisition strengthens VTG’s position in European railfreight transport and enhances its portfolio in the key corridor between Germany and Eastern Europe. VTG has held a majority stake in Retrack Slovakia since 2020.

Under the leadership of founders Milan Kortis and Jan Simco, the company has grown into a recognised provider of traction services across Europe. (ben)
