Vacad welcomes German coalition government’s plans
Germany will soon have a new government and Vacad, the association of air cargo handlers in Germany, supports the measures it plans to provide, as outlined in the coalition agreement to strengthen the country’s aviation sector.
Creating a level playing field at the European level, in particular, is crucial to prevent business from moving abroad, Vacad said. Recently re-elected Vacad CEO Claus Wagner (on the left, with Christian Biesecke and Patrik Tschirch, who were confirmed as treasurers and deputy CEO at the same time) emphasises that impractical regulations and stricter national implementation of European requirements affect German air cargo handlers’ ability to compete. Vacad has thus called for faster decision-making processes and offers its expertise for constructive support. (ah)
