As the first city in Europe, Malaga in Spain is puttinh Kapsch Traffic Com’s most recent dynamic signalling system and real time traffic optimiser to the test.
The solution developed by the Austrian technology company displays the most appropriate route in real time and sends an audio message whenever the driver approaches a new decision point.
The system uses information from the traffic light system for calculation and decision making to dynamically select the ideal route for every situation.
The software includes a real time traffic optimiser that calculates and shows the duration of green phases in accordance with the traffic conditions detected by the sensors. (ben)
