Uptick in Valenciaport continues
In the Spanish port of Valencia, the flow of goods continues the upward trend that began in August. While in August half a million teu were handled, levels passed a Spanish threshold in September by handling more than 477,000 boxes.
The figures also reflect the reactivation of Spanish commercial activity. In total, the port managed 7.17 million t of goods in September, almost 14% more than in 2019, while container movement increased by 12.2%.
By country, the USA and China continue to be Valenciaport's main partners, although containerised traffic is down by 2.94% and 8.60%, respectively. (cd)
