Up-to-date vehicles to handle pallets in cold areas
Unicarriers, a manufacturer of industrial trucks, has equipped Chiltern Cold Storage, a British specialist for temperature-controlled logistics services, with 22 vehicles. The logistics company’s warehouses have temperatures between -22 and -24 °C.
Despite the cold, the fleet must be reliable and always available for the daily handling of around 1,200 pallets. The vehicles must also be able to handle pallet picking and exchange as well as storage and retrieval.
The PMR pallet truck produced by Unicarriers loads and unloads trucks and transfers pallets to other storage areas. It counterbalances trucks for container transfer and other cargo handling operations. (ben)
