UK haulier expands facilities in Doncaster
Maritime Transport has taken an additional 160,000 sqm on a long-term lease at iPort, the multimodal logistics hub just outside Doncaster (UK), doubling the size of its HGV parking facility on-site. The forwarder can now accommodate up to 170 HGVs and 85 car parking spaces with immediate effect.
Maritime has a long-standing and profitable relationship with iPort, which offers a strong strategic location, excellent links to the adjacent road network and its own on-site railfreight terminal.
The decision to expand was a natural progression, given the strength of demand for services, the company said. The acquisition is part of Maritime’s wider development plans. (ben)
