UK forwarder brings back FCL option
UK forwarder Davies Turner will reduce the rates for its Express China railfreight service by mid-March. The train is the only direct weekly fixed-day intermodal service between China and UK. Following the launch of new rail services in China, Davies Turner is also recommencing its FCL service.
On departure from Wuhan, China, the trains will head directly to Duisburg in Germany. Containers are then trucked under bond to the nearby port of Rotterdam for transport by ferry to Purfleet and carried on by truck (still secure in the same container) to Davies Turner’s regional distribution centres in the UK, where they are discharged, customs cleared and delivered to their final destination.
