UIRR strengthens leadership

At its first meeting, the recently elected board of directors of the International Union for Road-Rail Combined Transport (UIRR) bolstered its leadership, electing Michail Stahlhut (left), CEO of the Swiss combined transport operator Hupac, as chairman and Jürgen Albersmann (right), CEO of the German trimodal operator Contargo, as vice-chairman of the board.

Stahlhut and Jürgen Albersmann will now lead a UIRR board of directors that is representative from a geographic point of view and diverse from a business model perspective.

Supported by a dedicated and competent UIRR team, the association is well geared to propel combined transport to the performance level demanded by the European economy and citizens, the association said. The UIRR now has 50 members, representing the vast majority of the CT sector in Europe. (cj)
