UAE strengthening ties with Spain and UK
Etihad Rail has signed MoUs with Spain’s national railway operator Renfe, UK’s first high-speed railway High Speed 1 and British rail freight operator GB Railfreight. The aim is to exchange knowledge, expertise, and best practices in freight and passenger rail services and rail operations.
The agreements are part of Etihad Rail’s efforts to develop railway services as part of the UAE national railways programme.
The MoUs were signed during Middle East Rail 2022 in Abu Dhabi, which was hosted by Etihad Rail. Middle East Rail is the largest transport event in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. (ben)
