Two platforms soon to merge
The holding has given the green light. Icontainers, an online freight platform heaquartered in Barcelona, is to merge with the digital freight forwarding branch, Dubai-based Shipa Freight.
The combined company, wholly owned by Agility, will offer standard air and ocean freight shipments for business customers, household relocation services for individuals, agent services for local forwarding companies and "white label” digital forwarding services.
Henadi Al-Saleh, Agility’s chairperson, commented: “We expect the digital freight forwarding market to grow by over 40% a year over the next few years.” Carlos Font will lead combined Shipa Freight - Icontainers entities as CEO.
