TST and EWR to set up e-fuelling network

The logistics company and the energy supplier have founded a joint venture to expand renewable fuels in Germany. With an investment of EUR 150 million, the JV is to set up an e-charging infrastructure for trucks as well as large battery storage systems.

The partners are planning to install large-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems on 41 roofs of the TST Group's logistics centres in Germany by the end of 2025. The systems will be able to produce around 70,000 megawatt hours of green electricity per year.

Wind energy will also be used at suitable locations such as Hamburg and Bremen. The first e-fuelling station will go into operation as a pilot project in Worms in May this year. (ben)
