Truck centre opened in Switzerland
Volvo Trucks has opened a state-o-the-art truck centre in Inwil near Lucerne (Switzerland). The new hub replaces the former location in Emmenbrücke. With the new facility in Inwil, Volvo Trucks now has the capacities that will be required over the long term. The centre is located in close proximity to the motorway.
On the area, there is a 1,836 sqm building with ten workshops for maintenance and repairs. The facility includes a modern testing track and a service pit with integrated oil management. Revisions of components may be carried out ergonomically and efficiently on one lifting platform. The infrastructure is completed by a truck washing bay with a 40 t lift. (ben)
