Trois-Rivières's strong year 2019
The Canadian Trois-Rivières Port Authority (TRPA) has reported its results for 2019. Over the past year, Trois-Rivières welcomed 260 vessels and handled 4.2 million metric tonnes (mmt) of cargo - a record for the port. In 2018, the TRPA handled 3.8 million mmt.
At the recent online AGM, president and CEO Gaétan Boivin presented a net income of CAD 2.9 million for TRPA. Recently, the authority took an important step in the implementation of the industrial port zone with the agreement reached with Hason Steel Products.
The building constructed on the Bellefeuille Street site allows the company to assemble its oversized products for export via the port facilities. (mw)
