Trois-Rivières looks back at 2018 with delight


The Canadian Trois-Rivières Port Authority (TRPA) reported its results for 2018. Over the past year, the port accommodated 256 vessels, set a new handling record of 3.9 million t of cargo, and grew its net income to CAD 3.4 million.

 

The TRPA inaugurated the general cargo terminal which includes wharves 9, 10 and 11, as well as 36,000 sqm of exterior storage and three hangars totalling 18,000 sqm. This new infrastructure increases shipping traffic for a number of products directly related to the activities of regional companies, either as input goods or as export products.

 

In addition to continuing investments in port infrastructure and creating the environment and innovation funds, the port wishes to develop new storage space and build new terminals to the west of its facilities. (kd)
